- On October 11, 2026 at Leslie Groves Home and Hospital; aged 88 years. Loved husband of the late Virginia, loved father of Kirsty, Megan, and Peter, loved father-in-law of Will, and Stuart, loved grandfather of Hamish, Tony, Nicole, Rochelle, Tayzha; Kaya, and Erin.
- A Memorial Service for Doug will be held at The Orokonui Ecosanctuary, Blueskin Road, Waitati at 5pm on Saturday October 17. Donations to Orokonui would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages can be left below.
